Christopher Trotter, born August 1967 in Brisbane has been creating public works for local Government , Councils , Universities and Developers since 1994.
While Chris has been working with found objects over the last 15 years, He has found himself drawn to, and engaging a broad cross section of forms.
Many from industries such as farming, automotive, industrial, marine and aviation.

Established in 1937 as a recreational area for the region's miners and their families.
At Penrose park you will find picnic areas with wood & gas BBQs, powered caravan and camping sites with amenities, a large hall for hire with power and a kitchen, plus 2 bunk houses with kitchens ( sleeps 8 and 6 ) and a self-contained cottage which sleeps 10.

There is no better way to explore the outback than from the back of a camel.
The camel farm" has been a cornerstone of the Silverton experience for decades.
People of all ages and from all over the world are welcomed to take a trip with one of these gentle beasts.
More adventurous groups can set off to explore the area on camel back, spend a night by the river and head back the next morning.

Step back in time at the Silverton Gaol and Historical Museum.
Virtually every aspect of life in Silverton's heyday is represented, with literally thousands of items on display.
Tools of the trades of mining, transport, entertainment, technology, food, religion, sport, education and medicine are accompanied by a range of photographs, painting a vivid picture of Silverton's early years.
The unique surrounds of the gaol building, erected in 1889, heighten the effect.

The Silverton Hotel is undoubtedly the heart and soul of the town.

The historical museum boasts excellent displays complimented with life size animal sculptures.
Opals are mined, cut and set by the owner, Ms Nelson who moved to Silverton in 1978 with her late husband - an opal miner and polisher - and they opened the doors to the Silverton Opal Shop.
