Originally a house built in the late 1880s, Brian and Margaret Edwards renovated the premises eight years ago to create the cafe. The menu is a slice of home-style living, including everything from light snacks through to hearty meals. If you're in the mood, they're also licenced. There's still a lot to see even if you're not hungry. The home's main rooms are filled with antique dolls made as early as 1869 and as recently as the 1950s. Other memorabilia is also on show and a range of old bottles are for sale. The Silverton Cafe is open from 8am until 5.30pm. It is open every day except Monday, although it stays open on school and public holidays.
